Hourly Individuals who receive hourly services are often assigned a coordinator or skills trainer who works one on one in a skill development setting which is often the home. Opportunity Homes, Inc. strives to align coordinators and skills trainers and individual based on personalities and interests. This further supports the success of individual skill development. Within hourly services, service provision is centered entirely around the training of skills and skill development. Opportunity Homes, Inc. will provide the person served the opportunity to be involved in an individualized service based on individual needs and desired outcomes designed to maintain or improve the person's abilities and skills to continue to reside independently. The focus of programming is to transfer dependence on Opportunity Homes, Inc. staff to that of natural supports. Site-Based Services Within the site services, scheduling of skills trainers is based on the service needs exhibited by persons living in the home. The ratio of individuals to skills trainers is dependent on the needs of the individual, to include individual schedule. When employees are hired, Opportunity Homes, Inc. strives to match personalities of employees with the individuals they may serve. This allows for increased success of employee/individual relationship and further supports the success of each individual with skill development. This service options provides for a variety of supervision levels. Training of skills and skill development are prevalent within site-based services as well as hourly services. Service Provision Opportunity Homes, Inc. feels it is valuable to have individual participation within the hiring process. Therefore, questions developed by individuals receiving services are given to applicants. The answers are then returned to the individuals for comments. These comments are reviewed and help determine the hiring of new employees. |
